Completed framing collage for The PEAK Residences quite some time ago. This round we have the original artworks with different tones and we have to tune them into sepia color, matched their color as close as possible. Dark color wooden frame with natural wood grain is a perfect match for the photos.

We have just completed some rustic frames recently. We gained great satisfaction to paint a perfect matched color of the frames with the content of the pictures. All the frames are painted and hand sanded in our framing workshop.

Medal Box Frame

Just done a medal box frame today for a young lady participated in Fobissea Games Beijing 2012.
We added in gold color metal plates with description for the medals and photos of the event to make it more comprehensive.

Gold wooden frame is used as inner frame for the medal.

Artist on a sailing boat - Ms Barbara A. Moore

 
We are so glad to know a couple who sail all over the world!

Following a career as a fabric artist in the Gulf islands of British Columbia, Ms Barbara and her husband moved aboard their sailing vessel "Lev" in 1998. They have been sailing to fascinating destinations in the South Pacific, Australia, S.E. Asia, Japan, and now in Malaysia, studying the local cultures, customs, flora and fauna. Such locales have provided much inspiration for her watercolor painting. Barbara's woks has been exhibited in Canada, Australia, Japan and Malaysia.

We visited their boat last Sunday evening, and that was a pleasant experience. A big thank you to Barbara and her husband for their warmest hospitality.

Framed Your Key Chains

Always we like to bring back some key chains from the places we visited, as a memory or souvenirs to our friends. Yes, I received quite a lot of key chains and little fridge magnet PVC from friends when they back from oversea.

Have you ever think of what to do with these little souvenirs? Are you still keeping them inside your drawers? 

One client brought to us about 40 plus key chains from all over the world last month. We decided to add in their travelling photos in the frame, making it a combination of photos and objects framing. Wow, that was another interesting work of how to display the key chains inside a frame. Let's see the outcome:

Double-sided Puzzle Framing

We are proud to frame one of the "World's Most Difficult Jigsaw Puzzle". It is a double-sided puzzle, and the picture on the back is a 90-degree rotated version of the front!

Of cause, the frame must be able to display both sides of the puzzle. So, we sandwiched it in between two acrylic sheets and make it stand on the table.

The Brezza Condominium, Tanjung Tokong, Penang

We had just completed a canvas art co-ordination for The Brezza Condominium @ Tanjung Tokong. The Brezza is located close to the Island Shopping Mall and Gurney Drive.

Modern vector art design of dandelion flowers on canvas is used for living area. On the other hand, canvas triplet print with sepia trees is selected for the wall outside the bedrooms.

(The house is still under minor renovation when we are doing our artwork installation)

For the bedrooms, modern digital arts are used. A very special vector art of butterfly and flowers is printed on duplet for the master bedroom.

Frame Your Canvas Art

Do you normally frame your canvas arts? Or you prefer to hang it without any frame surrounding?

There are several ways to frame your canvas.
The simplest way is just directly frame it with frame wood.
Or you may canvas floater to frame your canvas. It is just a boarder around the artwork, provides the minimal frame design.

If you have a little bit more budget, you can have cotton liner surrounding the canvas prior to the frame. Liners are to canvases, same as what a mat is to a paper print. Both serve as border that provides a breathing space and guide into the artwork itself.

No glass or acrylic needed for this type of framing as we already have a protective layer varnished on the canvas surface.
